We allow tee times to be booked up to 21 days in advance when booking online or up to 10 days in advance when contacting us by phone. Our online booking system will allow each person to book a maximum of 4 tee times per day. If you require more, you’ll need to have someone else in your group book the tee times under their name.
Yes, you can. The rate you see online is the original price for the teem time. This will be the price you’ll pay until you present us with a valid pass that you have purchased in advance.
You must provide us with minimum of 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel your tee time. If you cancel inside of 24 hours we will charge you the rate quoted and provide a complimentary pass to come back another time.
Golf is an outdoor activity and inclement weather is very possible. Heat, wind, rain and cold are some of the elements you and your guests may encounter over the course of your experience. Weather is often predictable and intermittent. The Golf Operations team will provide you with the most accurate information available. If once provided with this information you decide to play, you waive your right to compensation. Unforeseen weather events are a different matter entirely. If due to unforeseen inclement weather you do not complete the first six holes, you will receive a full 18 hole raincheck. If you complete between 6 and 12 holes a nine hole raincheck will be issued. Once golfers have teed off on the 13th hole no rainchecks will be issued.
Golfers are required to end your round no matter which hole you are currently playing and return to the parking lot within 15 minutes of the official sunset time. Golfers are not permitted to remain on the golf course more than 15 minutes after sunset.
Expired or non-valid passes can still be redeemed for the purchase price originally paid for the pass. We’ll honour the original price you purchased your pass for and apply this credit to the price of a regular round of golf. Give us a call if you need to know how much your expired pass is worth.
A round of golf will take up to 4 hours and 45 minutes when our cart rule is “Cart Path Only”. Any other days when carts can cross the fairway the pace of play is expected to be a maximum of 4 hours and 30 minutes or less. Our members play the course in less than 4 hours, which is the recommended time to complete your round.
Music is permitted if played at a suitable volume level not to disturb the play of other golfers on the course. Music must remain inside the golf cart only. Our Play Coordinators will determine if the volume of music is at an acceptable level. Should they ask for it to be turned down or off, you’ll need to respect their decision.
We have a halfway house located after hole 8 & 14 which serves hot and cold food as well as a variety of beverages options. On busier days we also have an F&B cart that will be driving around the cart path offering cold foods such as sandwiches and snacks as well as beverages. Most of our golf carts have coolers with ice already in them before you begin your round. Hot food prepared on the BBQ must be ordered from the Halfway House call boxes located next to the 8th and 14th tee before teeing off. It will be available for you to pick up quickly on your way to the next hole.
Parking is only permitted in the main parking lot next to the cart storage building near the main entrance to the Club. Driving down to the clubhouse is permitted to drop off or pick up people quickly. Our staff will not allow anyone to park in front of the Clubhouse for any length of time. We offer a shuttle from the parking lot should you require a cart ride up or down from the parking lot to the clubhouse. Simply ask one of our golf staff if you require assistance.
We don’t have a typical bag drop. We prefer you park your vehicle in the parking lot and our team will bring a cart to you. Should our staff be occupied and unable to bring a cart to you, you’re welcome to pick one of the available carts set up in front of the cart storage building yourself.
We require all golfers to return to the parking lot immediately after completing their round. We have a limited number of golf carts and golfers with tee times later in the day will need the golf cart you used to be ready when they arrive. We also have very little available space in front of the Clubhouse and need to use this space for golfers to check in and prepare to head out on the course before their round.
After finishing your initial round you can park your cart in front of the Clubhouse to check availability and make arrangements with our golf shop staff for your replay round. Once your tee time has been made our staff will inform you as to what the next steps you’ll need to take. This may involve returning your cart to the parking lot and picking up a fresh cart before your second round.
Our cart rules are set at 7 am each morning by our Superintendent just before the first tee time. We know that “Cart Path Only” is not the preferred cart rule but it does protect the course from unnecessary damage due to heavy rain. We’ll do our best to email all players on the tee sheet if we know it will be cart path only. You’re also welcome to call us should you have concerns or need to reschedule your tee time.
It is the responsibility of our golfers to know the rules and follow them every round. Any cart rule in-fractures will be documented and a warning will be given on the first offence. Should our Play Coordinator need to ask anyone from your foursome a second time they will require you to walk the remainder of your round. We have 3 cart rule options and they are described in more detail below.
Carts are restricted to cart path only on all holes for the entire round. Estimated pace of play is 4 hours and 45 minutes or less. Ridge members playing in a foursome can complete their round in 4 hours and 15 minutes or less.
Carts should remain on the cart path as much as possible. When you reach your ball you can drive in the rough and may cross the fairway at a 90° angle to get to your ball. Please stop slowly, to prevent damaging the fairway. Once you’ve hit your shot you can continue to the rough on the opposite side of the cart path and proceed up the rough or turn around and return the cart path at 90° angle. Please only turn in the rough and never in the fairway. You must remain on the cart path for all par 3 holes.
Golfers are allowed to drive both in the rough and across the fairway with no restrictions. Golfers must obey all cart signs and keep carts on the path around greens and tees. They are required to be on the cart path for all Par 3 holes.
Golfers with blue flags must obey all cart signs. They are not allowed to drive their cart on or beside greens and tees at anytime. If a blue flag has been granted on a “Cart Path Only” day then individuals that have the blue flag must adhere to the “Rough Only Rule” as noted above. In the event we have received a significant amount of rain it may be determined by the Superintendent that no blue flags will be issued that day. Please call us if you have any questions regarding our policy.
Please check our online events calendar for course maintenance information. We’ll do our best to post things like green aeration and any course closure information there. Click here to visit our events calendar.
We require groups of 6 to book their tee times as a group of 4 & 2. On the day of play when you check in we’ll advise you if you can play as 2 groups of 3. This will depend on if another twosome has joined your group or not.
– Group of 6 = 4/2
– Group of 9 = 4/3/2
– Group of 13 = 4/4/3/2
– Group of 14 = 4/4/4/2
We ask that you follow the above guidelines and try to make foursomes or twosomes as much as possible. We monitor the tee sheet often and make adjustments to bookings that are not set up like we require them to be. If your group size changes after you make a booking you will need to either make the appropriate adjustments online or call us for assistance. We frequently join up players to make foursomes as much as possible every day.

Our driving range opens 30 minutes before the first tee time of the day and closes at approximately 5 pm. We cut the driving range grass once a week and may require a little extra time in the morning before opening the range on those days. This will be communicated to you when you check in. We try to stick to a weekly cutting schedule but this can be impacted by weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
No, there is an additional fee of $6 for a small basket or $10 for a large basket (HST included). You purchase driving range balls from the golf shop staff when checking in and they’re dispensed from the machine at the driving range.
No, we’ll honour your pass when it is valid only. If you prefer to use it when it is not valid you can redeem it for the original purchase price value and apply the full amount as a credit towards paying our regular golf fees on the day you chose to play.

An exception will be made on “Cart Path Only” days should you prefer to walk the course, it will be permitted. Ridge at Manitou members are welcome to walk.
There is a maximum of 2 people that may occupy a golf cart at one time. Standing on the back of a golf cart is strictly prohibited. To operate a golf cart you must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license.
Always play from a set of tee blocks you feel comfortable playing from. We encourage everyone to play it forward and move up to a shorter tee block. You’ll enjoy the experience more if you play from the appropriate tee blocks. The Ridge at Manitou offers 6 tee options ranging from 5,002 yards to 6,699 yards.
Our local rule is to play all bush, swamps and Canadian Shield rock areas as lateral hazards. If your ball comes to rest in one of these areas you can pick it up and drop up to 2 clubs no closer to the hole from the point of entry. To maintain a more natural landscape we’ve decided not to use hazard stakes or paint anywhere on the golf course.
Replay rounds can be booked after the completion of the initial round by checking with our golf shop staff. It’s based on availability. Everyone must be off the golf course and their carts returned to the designated cart drop off area in the parking lot by sunset.
Generally speaking we’ll allow a non-golfer to ride along in the cart. A fee of $18 + HST is applicable in this situation. That being said, we do not allow more than 2 golf carts per tee time or more than 2 riders per cart at one time. This means that someone in the group will need to walk along with the group should there not be an available seat to sit in. We have a limited number of golf carts for golfers to use. Should our staff feel that we have enough golf carts to fulfil the needs of our golfers, on occasion we will allow an additional cart to be used. This will be determined by of our golf operations staff when your group is checking in.
